We still have not been given a location on where we will be playing our soccer game this Wednesday. However, we are also watching the weather and it looks like there is 20% on Tuesday and 80% for Wednesday. Please be sure to keep an eye out for emails or an update on here as to where we will be playing or whether we will be playing at all.

Our students had so much fun hunting for Easter Eggs today. Thankfully we were able to find an area that was somewhat dry and free of big water puddles. Thank you to the parents that were able to join us and help with the hiding of the eggs and all the other extra help that we had just by you joining us today. I have already posted some pictures on our Class Picture page. I hope to also post some from our soccer game yesterday soon, another fun filled day for our little ones. AND thank you to the parents that were able to make it to that event.
Please remember that there is no school tomorrow. Next week we have another soccer game on the 30th. We are still trying to figure out the location for that game. Due to testing that day for other grade levels the campuses will all be closed to visitors. We will keep you posted on that as soon as we get more information. Hope you have a safe and great holiday weekend! See you Monday morning! Mrs. Pace Dear Hoot Owl Families,
Our Easter egg hunt will be tomorrow Thursday, March 24th. In case it rains, we will move the event to the cafeteria. We need parent volunteers to help get the baskets ready, hide the eggs, and help as needed. If you would like to donate Easter eggs or a snack you may send them with your Hoot Owl. We will supply a basket for each of our students. Please join us for this fun family event. The event will be held here on campus and begins at 9:00 am. Remember to sign in at the front office. Arrive early to find a good parking area, do not park by the fire lanes or teacher parking lot. We had an awesome time at HEB, we tried so many different foods and for the most part everyone loved what they tried. We tried plums from the produce section, fresh homemade tortillas from the bakery, cheese from the deli, chocolate granola cereal and Mootopia chocolate milk that HEB makes special for people who can't drink dairy products. Afterwards we headed off to play in a park and then had lunch.
Tomorrow is pajama day for us, we probably won't be on the playground but just in case please make sure the shoes are good for outdoor playing. We will not be sending home folders this week since we are off the following week for Spring Break. We should have them ready to go out on Monday after we get back. Friday the 25th is Good Friday so we will be off for the holiday. Please let either one of us know if you have any questions. Mrs. Pace Hello families!
I can't believe we are already in the month of March. The past two weeks have flown by and I was bad about keeping y'all up to date on what was going on in our room. Last week was a fairly easy and low key week and I believe the only thing we had going on was that we had people come visit us and put fluoride varnish on our teeth. This week was also a low key week. We have been working on our garden over the past two weeks and we finally got some flowers/herbs planted. The students helped pull weeds and have been helping us keep the garden watered. Today we went outside for our center time, we have loved having this awesome weather this week. Next week we have a field trip on Thursday to HEB. We will be leaving around 8:30 and headed out with our Frog Family. Friday is pajama day and we will be celebrating our last day before Spring Break. We also have soccer that we will be starting after the break and will also have an Easter Egg hunt on the Thursday before Good Friday (which is a holiday). Below is a break down of our dates for this month. Please be sure to add them to your calendar. Don't forget that you can come watch the Hoot Owls take part in our soccer days. March is filling up fast!!! Here are some of our important dates! Upcoming Field Trips 10th – HEB 23rd – Soccer at Creek View 9:30 am 30th – Soccer at Creek View 9:30 am Other important March dates 11th – Pajama Day 24th – Easter Egg Hunt at SWV 9:00 am March no school days Spring Break March 14-18 Good Friday March 25 As always, have a safe and great weekend!! See you on Monday morning. Mrs. Pace Hello Families,
We had such an awesome time at Home Depot today. We got back to school a little later than planned, had lunch in our room and went down for a nap. It was a shorter nap than usual but everyone slept. It was a much shorter work time for us as well so folders will be going out on Monday. Next week will be not so adventurous for us. We do have our fluoride varnish day on Friday though. I hope you all have a safe and fun weekend. See you on Monday! Mrs. Pace. PS I will post pictures of our adventure today on Monday. :) Hello families,
We have had a few busy days but we have had a blast celebrating. Tomorrow will be a normal day for us and Friday we will head out on another field trip, this time to Home Depot. We are having a pajama/frozen themed day tomorrow. Please make sure your little ones wear pajamas but also make sure they are still able to play outside. The weather is supposed to warm up tomorrow so make sure dress is appropriate. Our frozen theme won't be so much along the movie but more winter themed. We also have our pizza/Valentine's day party on Friday. We will be having a box day to go along with it. This means that we will be outside building whatever the children come up with. We got our spring pictures in and we will be sending those home tomorrow. They are due back on Friday the 19th. If your little one is not a car rider please be sure to check their backpacks. We have two field trips next week. One on Wednesday and one on Friday. The students are excited and I know they love field trips. We will be going to Lowe's and Home Depot to go along with our Imagine It, Make It theme this month. Please don't forget that next Monday (15th) we do not have class instead we have a day of parent/teacher conferences. If you have not scheduled a time with Mrs. Polk yet please remember to do so. Have a great evening! Hope to see you on Friday!! Mrs. Pace |
